A Day Away

As I was sitting here trying to think about something to write about and coming up with nothing. I was about to write about not being able to think about anything to write, when the wonderfu memories of last night creeped back into my brain. No, I am not reteling a sexcapade…I am referring to a fun night out with friends.

On the southeast side of San Antonio, on US87 south, there is an amusement park called Green Acres. It has miniature golf (two courses), bumper boats with squirt guns, trampoline, water wars, paintball, arcade, and a go cart racetrack coming soon. We played golf, bumper boats, and the arcade and then went back to their place to chat and wind down. Dallas and I both agreed that we love our children, but every now and then we need to get out by ourselves and just diffuse. We are very lucky to have such welcoming, accepting, and very fun friends.

A New Search

During my first block of college courses, I began thinking that this was going to be too easy. Now that I am halfway through my second block of courses, I am beginning to realize that I can’t wait to the last minute and try to bluff my way through it. Some of these assignments take real consideration and effort, as well as massive amounts of time if an essay or research project is due. In truth, I am not very happy with my present two classes and I think that is in part that I’d prefer to be on my next block which includes a class in world religions and I think that’s going to be very interesting for me. I look forward to the classroom discussions portion of that class most.
